About Typing Test

Typing Test measures your real typing speed and accuracy, then helps you improve both.

Why typing speed still matters

Most jobs now run on keyboards: email, chat, documents, code, support tickets. The average American office worker types around 40 words per minute; people who type 65+ finish the same writing in about 60% of the time. Over a career, that difference is measured in months.

How our test works

Pick a length — 1, 3 or 5 minutes — and type the passage. Every character is checked as you go: green means correct, red means an error, and your live WPM and accuracy update continuously. At the end you get your score, your error count, and a consistent measure you can re-test against as you practice.

Scores are computed on your device only. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
